A shocking video reveals the dangerous speeds boy racers are reaching on roads around a West Bromwich estate.
The footage shows three cars revving their engines and racing their way along Kenrick Way late on Sunday night.
The images come just days after police revealed they were putting plans for speed cameras along the road on hold because of a lack of funding. They also said that reports of boy racers had dwindled.
One resident who shot the video on his mobile phone said the racing had not stopped.
The Kenrick estate resident who wished not to be named said he filmed the cars racing up and down between 9.50pm and 11:30pm.
For more than a year people have been reporting gatherings of up to 100 cars on the Kenrick Estate, complaining about the revving of engines, speeding and intimidation of residents.
Last month more than 30 residents attended a public meeting to voice their frustrations.
This followed a petition from 178 people calling for action.
In September last year the police undertook a two week investigation of the boy racers and found the drivers were clocking up speeds of 124 mph.
A similar investigation this year recorded a top speed of 107mph.
West Bromwich Inspector Akeel Najib said: "We are working closely with the council and highways to tackle it.
"Because it is sporadic, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, it is very hard to plan for.
"We are looking at a long term strategy such as CCTV, better lighting and also speed cameras.
"There are all different things we are looking at as a possible response because it is a problem that is causing the community concern."
Police had been hopinghoped to use powers under the Police Reform Act to give them powers to seize high-powered cars on the Kenrick Estate and had also hoped to introduce at least one speed camera.
