A driver has been quizzed after three pedestrians were hurt when they were struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident in Staffordshire.
A driver has been quizzed after three pedestrians were hurt when they were struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident in Staffordshire.
A man in a Ford Ka mounted a pavement in Walsall Road, Cannock, at around 1.50am on Saturday. He then fled the scene on foot.
Staffordshire Police arrested a male on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He has now been released pending further inquires.
A man in his 40s was seriously hurt in the accident after going through hoarding put up around land earmarked for redevelopment.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics for head, arm and chest injuries and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He is described as being in a stable condition.
A teenager, aged 18, suffered legs injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment. A man, in his 20s with leg injuries, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
