Armed police descended on a primary school in Wednesbury following reports there was a man with a gun outside the building.

A cleaner at Old Park Primary School spotted the man the man.
Two armed officers joing neighbourhood police at the scene. But investigations revealed the weapon was an air rifle.
The drama unfolded on Tuesday after the man was spotted carrying what was thought to be a gun case on his shoulder to a field opposite the school building, in Old Park Road.
He then left the area in a car, but was tracked down by the officers who confiscated the rifle.
Old Park's head Liz Adams said: "He told police he had been checking the gun's sight and the police accepted that. "It was resolved well before the children were due to come into school. "There was no need to evacuate."
West Midlands Police spokeswoman Gina Lycett said: "It turned out to be an air rifle. There is nothing to suggest he was pointing it at anyone. He volunteered the weapon over to us. No offences were committed."
