Blur to play Wolverhampton's Civic Hall

Blur today announced two concerts at Wolverhampton Civic Hall ahead of their highly-anticipated sold-out London Olympics gig this summer.

The band will play in the city for the first time since 2009 on August 5 and 6.

The Civic is known to be one of their favourite venues from their early days. The gigs are a warm-up for the band's headlining act at the closing ceremony for the London Olympics in Hyde Park on August 12.
