Former Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray hopped on a traditional Indian rickshaw to drum up support for a charity bike ride.

More than 30 members of Punjabi Wolves plan to cycle from Molineux to Buckingham Palace at the start of June to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

And one of the rickshaws will even have a mannequin, dressed up as the Queen, sat on it.

All donations recieved before the 130-mile ride and along the way will go to five charities.

Punjabi Wolves chairman Andy Sahota said: "We're setting off from Molinuex on June 1 and we'll arrive at Buckingham Palace the next day.

"We are heading along quiter roads and cycling through villages so we hope people will donate along the way."

Last year Punjabi Wolves cycled from Moliniuex to Wembley and raised £43,000. Mr Sahota added: "This year we hope to push past the £50,000 mark.

"We know times are hard but people tend to dig deep when it comes to charity."

The charities benefitting this year include Brittle Bones Society, MS Society, Promise Dreams, The Haven Wolverhampton and the India Project.
