Police have been granted extra time to question a 35-year-old woman in connection with the murder of pensioner Bill Davis.

The suspect from Willenhall, who has not been named, was arrested by detectives on Tuesday night.

Police now have until tomorrow morning to decide whether they have enough evidence to charge the woman.

Decorated war veteran Mr Davis, aged 92, was found collapsed at his home in Hobley Street, Willenhall, on Sunday evening.

A post-mortem later revealed the father-of-two, who served in the Royal Navy, had died as a result of severe head injuries.
