Robbers wielding a shotgun snatched around £10,000 of jewellery from a shop in the Black Country.

Two men struck at John Hollins Jewellers, on Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, at around 3pm yesterday. No shots were fired and no one was injured. The robbers were described as white and in their early 20s.

DI Gary Dring from the Force Criminal Investigation Department said: "This was a serious incident on a busy street in the middle of the afternoon and we need to catch the people responsible.

"There will have been many people in Wolverhampton Street at the time of this incident, and I would urge anyone with information to come forward."
