The good weather has helped provide the spectacular sight which was caught on camera in the Cannock area.

Beautiful skies can be seen as as the sun dips down during the evening, bathing buildings in a warm glow.

And while residents across the West Midlands are set to enjoy soaring temperatures for the next few days, experts are warning that colder conditions will return next week.

The good weather is set to continue tomorrow, according to the Met Office, with temperatures warming up quickly after a chilly start.

Friday and Saturday will remain mostly dry but will be a little cloudier with early morning fog possible. By Sunday, temperatures will be near normal for the time of year and at the start of next week patchy light rain or drizzle will affect most parts.

Temperatures will drop overnight, bringing patchy frost and fog.
