Wolves today warned fans that extra CCTV will be in place during this weekend's Black Country derby to monitor the crowd for trouble.
Molineux officials said they would be looking out for anyone throwing coins or setting off flares and smoke cannisters. Stadium and safety manager Steve Sutton said throwing any missiles would be treated "very seriously".
Meanwhile, extra trams will run between West Bromwich and Wolverhampton to ferry fans to and from Molineux for the match on Sunday.
National Express have scheduled two additional services to run in time to get to the stadium for the 1.30pm kick off, running every eight minutes both before the match and after the final whistle.
Mr Sutton said: "We understand that Black Country derby matches generate a huge amount of excitement and an amazing atmosphere, however our first priority is to ensure the safety of our spectator.
"Trying to bring flares into the stadium or throwing objects is not acceptable and we will do everything in our power to keep Molineux a safe enjoyable place for fans to watch football."
Parking along Whitmore Hill and Molineux Street will be turned into no parking zones for the game, while police road restrictions will be in place along Camp Street and Molineux Street.
Mr Sutton also advised fans to arrive in plenty of time for kick-off, as rigorous searches of fans entering the ground are due to take place.
When the teams met at the Hawthorns on February 19 last year, rival fans threw missiles and smoke bombs between the stands.
Meanwhile, ahead of this weekend's match, fans will put their rivalry aside on Sunday morning and meet outside the Hawthorns for a fundraising March to Molineux for Acorn's Children's Hospice.
