Warehouse worker Jamie Skelding, 31, had been missing his favourite paper but he now gets all the latest news via the app, which is available for iPad and iPhone users.
He decided to give the app a go after his local delivery service was halted.
Father-of-two Mr Skelding, of Rosehill, Willenhall, said: "I've been reading the Express & Star for as long as I can remember so it is great to get it back with the app.
"I saw the advert on www.expressandstar.com and decided to give it a go with the free week's trial.
"I've had an iPhone for a while but this is the first newspaper app that I have downloaded to it.
"I would fully recommend it. I'd give it 10 out of 10.
"It is just like having the paper in your hand so I would not be without it now.
"You get all the information you want, with every single page including the TV listings."
Once the app is downloaded from the App Store, iPad and iPhone users can flick through the pages of the most recent electronic edition of the paper using the latest technology. Mr Skelding said: "You can zoom in and out to read the small print. The daily downloads are quick and it is smooth to run."
Wolves fan Mr Skelding, who works at AF Blakemore and Sons in Willenhall, has signed up for a monthly subscription.
"I love to read all the sport news so it is ideal for me to keep up with the latest at Wolves," he said.
Subscribing to the newspaper via the iPad app costs £1.49 per week or £3.99 per month.
The first week of access to digital downloads is free, giving customers seven days to read news, sport and opinion before they commit.
