A man has been charged with the murder of a 33-year-old from the Black Country, whose battered body was found lying on park land.
Derek Law, 28, is accused of killing Jagjit Singh Villku, who was found on land near St Anne's Road, in Willenhall, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police were granted extra time to quiz Law, of Barcroft, Willenhall, who was charged last night.
He was today remanded by Wolverhampton magistrates to appear at the city's crown court on Tuesday.
A post mortem revealed the victim, from Willenhall, suffered head injuries. A 26-year-old man also arrested in connection with the murder remains on bail.
Detectives are still searching for clothing believed to have been worn by those responsible. Officers are looking for a green and black Regatta fleece or jacket and a grey hooded jacket that have been discarded. They are also appealing for any details about a separate possible dispute in nearby Cemetery Road.
Det Ch Insp Andy Bullman, from Force CID in Bloxwich, said today: "If anybody has found either of these items of clothing, maybe near the fields, maybe thrown in a rubbish bin, perhaps left at the side of the road or in a garden, I would ask them get in touch with police."
