Man dies in M5 bridge fall near West Bromwich

A man has died after falling from the road bridge onto the motorway around junction one of the M5 near West Bromwich today.

The fall happened on the southbound carriageway at 9.50am.

Police have now closed the southbound carriageway between junctions one and two.

The road is expected to be cordoned off for a number of hours while officers investigate.

Drivers are being advised by police to avoid the area.
