Up to £9 million will be raised through selling off 11 county council-owned buildings in Staffordshire after the authority moved into new headquarters.
The council is selling properties in Stafford after completing work on the £38m Staffordshire Place base. It is also ending the leases on six buildings.
The two new buildings in Tipping Street are now fully occupied by around 1,700 workers who were previously based in 17 buildings spread across the borough.
The new premises has room for only 1,200 staff, but cash is being saved by asking officers to share desks and office space.
The council says £250,000 will be saved yearly.
