A former X Factor contestant has lost her claims for unfair dismissal and sexual discrimination against the Midland prison where she taught inmates.

A tribunal ruled mother-of-three Faye Bray rightly lost her job after wearing 'mesmerising' clothes to work and posting provocative pictures online.

The 30-year-old, of Cannock, had alleged she was unfairly sacked by The Manchester College, which provided services to Brinsford Young Offenders Institution in Featherstone, near Wolverhampton. She had previously faced disciplinary action for performing in an 'inappropriate outfit' when she auditioned for the ITV talent show in 2009.

One of the online pictures showed Mrs Bray, who taught life skills, politics and literacy, wearing a basque and stockings and brandishing a whip. She claimed she had not intended the image to be "sexual". She told the tribunal there was nothing wrong with aspiring to be like Barbie, Katie Price or Pamela Anderson.

Mrs Bray said a statement would be issued through her management firm later.
