First World War medals belonging to an 85-year-old woman were stolen in a raid on her home near Stafford.
Doris Whittle was heartbroken at the loss of the medals that were awarded to her father and father-in-law.
Mrs Whittle, of Creswell, arrived home from visiting her son last Sunday to find a window had been broken and her home ransacked and TV and jewellery stolen.
The medals were mounted on red velvet. Two of the medals are star-shaped and are called Mons Stars. The other six medals are round. The medals feature the surnames Barks and Whittle.
