A new £9.5million college created at the site of an axed Bloxwich secondary school today received a visit from a former education secretary to mark its opening.
Former Conservative MP Lord Kenneth Baker dropped by to check out the Black Country University Technical College on Vernon Way.
The specialist engineering college for 14 to 19-year-olds has been created in place of the former Sneyd Community School.
More than 120 pupils are now settling into life at the college, which is sponsored by Walsall College and Wolverhampton University.
