Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died after being pulled out of a Black Country canal following an accident.

It is thought the 24-year-old victim, who has been named locally as William Walker, died after he hit a low canal bridge in Wednesbury after losing control of his bike while riding on grass opposite the tow path. About a dozen floral tributes have now been left at the scene.

A tribute group on the social networking website Facebook has also been set up. A message left by his parents on a floral tribute read: "Why Will. It won't be the same without you. Gone too soon. You will be missed, Loads of love, Mom and Dad, Lance."
