More than £1 million is to be ploughed into revamping a historic Black Country factory to safeguard workers' future and create more jobs, it was revealed today.

More than £1 million is to be ploughed into revamping a historic Black Country factory to safeguard workers' future and create more jobs, it was revealed today.

Forging company WH Tildesley Ltd in Bow Street, Willenhall, is to replace its main building and invest in new machinery over the next year.

Up to eight new jobs are also poised to be added to the existing 47-strong workforce as a result of the expansion plans at its Clifford Works site.

The company dates back more than 130 years.

It serves the aerospace, oil and autosport industries with links to Europe and America.
