M6 in partial closure for works

Part of the M6 through Staffordshire and the Black Country will be closed tonight while an "eyesore" gantry is removed.

The motorway will be shut from 10pm between junctions 11 for Cannock and Wolverhampton and 10 at Walsall.

It is expected to reopen by 9am tomorrow. The gantry is coming down after residents in nearby Beechdale complained they could see it from their homes.
