Victory in fight over M6 gantry

An eyesore 35ft gantry over a Black Country stretch of the M6 is to be taken down following a campaign by residents.

The decision by highways bosses has been hailed a victory for people power.

The gantry looms over homes near junction 10 in Walsall and has been branded an eyesore by residents who can see it from the Beechdale Estate.

They have now been told, nearly a year after it was first installed, that it will be taken down.
