From March, people will be able to gain unlimited entry to the late photographer's home, which includes his photographic studio, breakfast room and even master bedroom complete with antique four-poster bed.
Lord Lichfield, the Queen's cousin, died of a stroke in 2005. Staffordshire County Council has signed the deal with his family to sub-lease the apartments on the estate in Stafford.
The tour forms part of series of events being held at the popular tourist attraction. Shugborough group manager Liz Carruthers said: "2011 is going to be the most exciting for years at Shugborough.
"As well as the grand opening of the private rooms we have a new sculpture trail, a year-long wildlife exhibition and lots of new weekend activities from Treasure Days to Grow It, Cook it, Eat It weekends.
"Shugborough is Staffordshire's jewel in the crown and we are anticipating more people than ever will buy passes and play their part in supporting our conservation work."
The new attractions will see the mansion become the largest publicly accessible stately home.
Staff at the estate are also predicting a bumper year of Privilege Pass sales. Visit www.shugboroughre visited.com to find out more.
