?Desperate Jas Sandhu took to the streets to plead for work after unsuccessfully applying for 120 jobs in his six months out of employment.
The 33-year-old, who has received just six responses to his flood of applications, assembled two sandwich boards imploring: "I need office work — please stop for a CV/chat."
Yesterday he spent three hours on Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, in the hope of catching the eye of a city employer.
Nobody stopped, but Mr Sandhu is planning to return to the roadside over the coming days and weeks until he secures a job.
The father-of-one, of Tettenhall Road, Chapel Ash, said: "I was very cold and of course it's not ideal, but I have tried so hard to no avail and feel like I need to put myself out there and do something different."
Mr Sandhu, left a sales job in August because the commission-only pay package left him unable to provide for his daughter Sasha, three.
He said: "It breaks my heart because she has even started saying 'maybe I can have this when you get a job' if we are out shopping and she sees a toy."
