An attempt to break the world record for the number of people doing the conga wearing wellies in Stafford town centre ended in embarrassment for organisers of a charity event.
Organisers of the world record bid needed 209 people to sign up to do the conga in Market Square to beat the current record.
But on Sunday just 25 took part in the attempt.
Despite this, the people who took part said they had a fun time.
Alan Regnart, aged 48, from Stafford, joined in the world record attempt with his 14-year-old son Stephen and six-year-old daughter Sarah.
He said: "My son heard about the world record attempt so we thought it would be good fun to come along and have a go. It is a little disappointing that we couldn't break the record but we all still had fun anyway and it was all for an excellent cause."
Chris Belyavin, area fundrasier for the Donna Louise Trust, said: "It is disappointing that we haven't been able to break the record but we simply didn't have enough support from people on the day. However, the people who came along had a fun time."
The event was organised by the The Guildhall Shopping Centre in partnership with the Donna Louise Trust.
The event was also part of a family sports fun day which included aerobics and a fun mini tennis game.
The wellie wearing conga record still stands at 208 people and was set at Bickton in Hampshire two years ago.
