A cyclist died today after being hit by a skip lorry in Willenhall.
A cyclist died today after being hit by a skip lorry in Willenhall.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene following the accident shortly after 10.30am in Sandbeds Road.




A police tent was put up at the scene for investigations to take place. The road was closed at its junction with Stroud Avenue and motorists were diverted on to Spring Lane, with lengthy tailbacks building up along Sandbeds Road.
Passer-by Claire Thomas, aged 19, of Stroud Avenue, said: "There must have been up to 20 police cars, a police van and ambulance.
"The road was blocked off at the top of Clarkes Lane."
Police spokeswoman Joanne Hunt confirmed a male cyclist had been killed in the accident and asked witnesses to call 0345 113 5000.
