Six illegal immigrants who ignored orders banning them from working in the UK by paying for fake identification to get jobs in the Black Country and earn thousands, were today behind bars.

Six illegal immigrants who ignored orders banning them from working in the UK by paying for fake identification to get jobs in the Black Country and earn thousands, were today behind bars.

The men were allowed to remain in the country on humanitarian grounds because of wars in homelands, providing they did not work, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.

The group, from Iran and Iraq, were caught out by the UK Border Agency after obtaining fake UK Residents' Permits and National Insurance cards which they handed to 24/7 Recruitment Services, in Temple Street, Wolverhampton, who helped them secure jobs.

Mr Warren Stanier, prosecuting, said the men used the cards to secure jobs between January 2009 and March this year.

Ali Poor, aged 24, of Hamilton Road, Birmingham, was paid £11,401 by Nightfreight, in Willenhall, after presenting fake documents to 24/7 Recruitment who secured him the job.

Poor admitted possessing false identity cards with intent and two counts of fraud.

Iraqi Kurd Hama Kadir, aged 28, of Yardley Road, Birmingham, was jailed for 26 weeks after admitting one count of possessing false documents and one of fraud.

Omar Bavari, 41, of The Broadway, Birmingham, admitted possessing fake documents with intent and two counts of fraud, was jailed for 39 weeks.

Iraqi Kurd Homan Ahmed, aged 24, of William Road, Smethwick, pleaded guilty to possessing fake documents with intent and fraud, and was put behind bars for 36 weeks.

Iranian Mohammed Sirwan, aged 31, of Sampson Road, Handsworth, admitted fraud and possessing false documents with intent and was jailed for 32 weeks.

Sharam Razaei, aged, 21, of Edward Street, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks after admitting possessing false documents with intent.
