A rare Australian car, one of only 15, has been stolen from a garage in Halesowen.
The Holden VT SS Ute had been modified by its owner.
Thieves struck at a private garage in Toys Lane, sparking a police appeal for information.
Det Con Simon Willmott, from Dudley CID, said people may have spotted the "entirely unique car" being driven around.
"This is an extremely rare car here in Britain," he said.
"The owner has modified it to such an extent that it is entirely unique.
"The Holden is not generally available in the UK and so we are hoping that someone may have seen it around and noticed it, as it would be particularly unusual."
He added: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnesses the theft or who has seen it being driven or parked somewhere."
The Ute's original registration number is HS51 AON.
It is black with a covered black flat section on the back and was taken sometime between 4pm on April 21 and 1pm on April 22.
Anyone with information is asked to call Dudley CID at Brierley Hill police station on 0345 113 5000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
