A murder inquiry was launched today after a man knocked down by a car at a West Midland petrol station died in hospital.
The man, aged 41 and believed to be from the Wednesbury area, was hit by a car at the BP petrol station in Walsall Road in the town around 2.30am on Sunday.
He suffered serious head injuries and died in hospital just after 10am yesterday.
Detectives believe the victim was involved in an altercation and was hit by a car. A total of seven men have been arrested and bailed.
