The Bilston-born legend is one of seven former internationals who recount their proudest moments wearing the England football shirt in the advert which gets its first airing on national TV this week.
The commercial is part of Mars' 'Work, Rest, Play for England' ad campaign, set to a background of stirring music.
Bert, who celebrated his 90th birthday at Molineux last month, is seen sitting in the front room of his Shifnal bungalow, near Wolverhampton, below a black and white action photo of him in goal in his glory days.
The famous shot-stopper says: "Once you got the shirt on, and the badge on, you felt you were on a different planet."
The 60-second advert stars an impressive line-up of stars who represented their country from the 1940s through to 2000.
"I'm getting a lot of calls asking for 'the Mars Bar kid'," Bert joked today. "It's very gratifying to be asked to take part. The trouble is I can't recognise the old chap masquerading as me on the screen!"
A 20-strong camera crew descended on his home some weeks ago, re-arranging the furniture and filming reels of footage.
Bert is the oldest living person to have played in a World Cup for England.
