The Baggies' oldest fan, Vic Stirrup, is looking for the heroes who saved him after he collapsed following a match in Ispwich.

The 91-year-old from Smethwick is launching an appeal to track the Ipswich fans down to say thank you.

Vic has supported Albion for 86 years and had only missed seven games since the Second World War.

But now the ardent supporter is laid up in bed after he fell ill outside the Portman Road ground on January 26.

Former newsagent Vic's son Andy is now leading the attempt to find the Ipswich fans who wrapped their coats around him and called for an ambulance. Anyone who knows who helped Vic should call 01902 319550.
