Ex-magistrate guilty over sex offences

A former West Bromwich magistrate and schools inspector pleaded guilty to a string of sex offences involving children at Wolverhampton Crown Court today.

Ian Knight, aged 50 of Ebrington Road, West Bromwich, pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including sexual activity in the presence of a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity over a webcam and making indecent photographs.

He was given conditional bail by Judge John Warner who adjourned sentencing until February 15.
