Fire crews were called to a number of burst water pipes which caused flooding in homes around the region.
Crews were called to Beacon Street in Walsall in the early hours of Sunday morning. A tap had jammed in the outhouse of the room, with around an inch of water pouring out before the supply was isolated.
And this morning firefighters from West Bromwich attended homes in Stanley Road in the town, and West Road in Hamstead.
Watch commander Tex Avery said: "Both were caused by frozen pipe work. The West Road house was a void council property that was being revamped.
"There was about three inches of water which we had to pump out into the back garden."
He added: "There was a lady living in the house at Stanley Road and we tried to get her rehomed for the night. Sandwell Homes was called out to sort it out."
