Church on the market

An historic Cannock town centre church which has been shut for a number of years has been put up for sale.

The United Reformed Church, which dates back to 1865, is on the market with estate agents Martin Bloomer Associates for £95,000.

The freehold property, situated opposite the bus station, is a Grade 2 listed building and boasts a church, balcony and vestry. Councillor John Kraujalis said he wanted the building brought back into use quickly to avoid vandal attacks.
