An 84-year-old woman was led to safety from a fire at her Black Country home today.

An 84-year-old woman was led to safety from a fire at her Black Country home today.

Fire crews were called out to the blaze at the house, in Vernier Avenue, Kingswinford, at 8.35am.

About 30 per cent of the house was damaged by fire and there was also smoke damage. Crews were making the building safe today.
