Lorenzo and Daphne Jackson, aged 70 and 82, are celebrating their golden wedding on Saturday with a party at Park Hall Hotel.

The couple, of Welbeck Avenue, Bushbury, have two daughters Joyce and Charlene, a son John and foster daughter Coral.

Mr Jackson moved to Wolverhampton a month after getting married, but Daphne had to stay in Jamaica for another 10 months, due to finances.

Once in Wolverhampton, Mr Jackson got his first job as an engine cleaner on the railways in Stafford Road.
