Baggies hero Chris, from New Zealand, fired a thunderbolt against Doncaster last night and dedicated it to his parents who were in the crowd.
The 17-year-old Kiwi blew two kisses towards the Halfords Lane Stand where the couple were sitting.
Julie moved to England when Chris got a place in the Albion Academy earlier this year but dad Grant jetted in from Down Under at the weekend especially to see his son in action.
The 6ft 3in gentle giant said: "It was great to have both of them here. Mum was straight on the phone to my sister, Chelsey, back home.
"She is coming over at Christmas and hopefully I can score a couple for her then. Dad is here for two-and-a-half weeks. It is very good timing and I will dedicate that one to them.
"Dad has been the biggest influence on my career. He has always been there for me no matter what, whether it's on the field or off the field. It was great to have him here."
Wood completed the scoring in the 3-1 win with a 25-yard rocket after stepping off the bench.
