Anya's team ready for good hair days
A team of Staffordshire hairstylists will be creating trendsetting and inspirational looks for the catwalk at a prestigious fashion and beauty extravaganza in the West Midlands.
The Francesco Group – which has 30 salons across the Midlands – has been confirmed as the official hairdresser of the Style in the City event, taking place across Birmingham city centre from September 24 to 26.
A number of the Stafford-based group's dedicated hair professionals will be wor-king backstage at the event's Catwalk Show, which will be held at The Mailbox throughout the three days.
And the stylists will also be offering consultations to showgoers as well as sharing tips on the latest hair trends.
Making up the Francesco hairdressing team are two current finalists for the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards 2009.
Anya Dellicompagni, the Francesco Group's director of hairdressing has been nominated for the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year title and Michelle Thompson, creative director, has been nominated for Afro-Caribbean Hairdresser of the Year.
The girls, both based in Stafford, will work with their team to create trend-setting hairstyles.
During the event, the hair team will also appear in The Oasis, a beauty and pampering haven based in The Pavilions shopping centre.
Anya said: "This year's catwalk shows feature some of the biggest names in the fashion industry and it is so exciting to be involved in creating the key looks for autumn/winter with them."
This year's Catwalk Show will be hosted by TV's Emma Willis, who presents ITV2's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now, alongside her musician husband Matt Willis.
Style in the City will also see TV favourite Gok Wan hosting a series of live makeovers and Q&As as part of his 'style sessions' at Bullring.
