Tickets fly out for open-air movies
Thousands of people have rushed to snap up tickets to two open-air movie nights at Shugborough.

So far more than 6,000 people have booked tickets to the events where visitors will be able to enjoy an open-air picnic in the grounds of the historic estate and watch hit movies Mamma Mia! and Grease on a large screen in front of the mansion house.
Mamma Mia!, which will be the first film shown on August 21, has proved the biggest draw so far and has sold out completely with 4,000 people expected to attend. Tickets for Grease, on August 22, are selling so fast that bosses at Shugborough are urging people not to wait until its too late to book.
Corinne Caddy, spokesman for Shugborough Hall said: "It has been a huge success and we will make a profit which is fantastic. I am sure we will be doing this again."
Visitors to the Grease movie are being urged to dress up as Pink Ladies and T-birds to dance the night away.
This week the Shugborough gardeners are preparing for the event and mowing an enormous patch of grass to form a dance floor in front of the giant screen. Throughout the movie people can enjoy their own picnics on the Hall Field arena, get up and dance on the grassy dance floor and sing their hearts out to iconic songs from the movie.
The estate is also selling gazebo spaces and hampers for those who wish to enjoy the film in luxury and there will be a host of food outlets as well as a licensed bar available on the evening.
Advance ticket prices for Grease are £7 for adults, £6.50 for concessions and children. On the night, prices are £9 adults, £8 concessions and children.
