Six injured in M6 crash

Six people including a nine-year-old girl went to hospital after a crash which closed the M6 in Staffordshire for around 15 minutes.

The accident, involving a van and a large people carrier, happened on the northbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 13 and 14, near Stafford, shortly before midday yesterday.

Police closed the motorway in both directions so that the air ambulance could land. The victims mostly suffered neck injuries.
