Early start for dawn chorus
Early risers were greeted with the sound of birdsong as the sun popped up in Baggeridge Country Park, near Sedgley.

Eager ramblers turned out in force for the Dawn Chorus walk around the Gospel End beauty spot at 4.30am yesterday.
It was pitch black when walkers arrived at 4am but the sun was fully up by the end of their one-and-a-half hour route.
Park ranger David Westwood, who led the early morning stroll, said: "It is quite popular – we are always very pleased with the turnout," he said.
Ian Croshaw, aged 62, of Sedgley, who was with partner Vivienne Summers, said: "I read about the walk in the Express & Star. I really enjoy walking and we travel all over the country to find beauty spots."
Sedgley schoolboy Lewis Keady aged 13, also set his alarm early. His mother Corrine said: "My son loves birdsong so we decided to come along."
A dawn chorus walk takes place tomorrow at Wrens Nest Nature Reserve, Dudley.
