Woman badly hurt in crash

A woman was today in hospital with serious injuries after a car careered off the road and ended up in a ditch in Bloxwich.

The Renault Megane ended up on its side after leaving a stretch of Fishley Lane, near to Bloxwich Golf Course, just after 1am.

The woman passenger, believed to be in her 30s, suffered head, neck and shoulder injuries and was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.

No other vehicles were involved.

The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A man, believed to be the driver, was uninjured in the crash.
