Dumped Precious operation appeal
A dog dumped in a bin bag after years of neglect urgently needs an operation which may cost about £1,000.

Precious, a cross terrier dog thought to be eight or nine-years-old, , was found dumped on the side of the bypass leading to the Orbital Retail Park in Cannock with severely matted fur six weeks ago.
She was on fluids for 48 hours and was unable to hold her own body weight. She has been shaved, showered and treated but vets diagnosed her with a rare disease and a lump that will need an operation.
Now the RSPCA is appealing for cash to tackle acondition which can be easily treated but not cured. Despite this the charity says she could still have a happy healthy life.
Those responsible for dumping her in what was described at the time as an "appalling condition" have not been found. Since then her condition has improved thanks to use of a hydrotherapy swimming pool which has helped get her back on her feet. Vets believe she suffers from hormone disorder Cushings disease which cannot be cured but can be successfully managed and controlled through medication.
RSPCA inspector Penny Wieland said: "We are delighted with how well Precious has come on, she is a real fighter. It is a setback that she requires an operation as there is a risk to any animal having an operation and especially with a dog that is not in the best of health. But after all Precious has been through, we feel we have to give her the chance of a happy healthy life in the future and this operation is a must if she is to have a healthy future."
So far caring for Precious has cost the RSPCA more than £600 and the operation could cost in the region of £1,000.
Mrs Wieland said: "Any donations from the public to help with this cost will be gratefully received." People can donate towards the cost of the operation by sending a cheque mentioning it is to go towards Precious to RSPCA Wales & West Regional HQ, Gonsal Farm, Dorrington, Shrewsbury, SY5 7ET.
Any extra money raised will be used in the Stafford and Wolverhampton branches of the charity. Anyone with information about who abandoned Precious can call the RSPCA national cruelty and advice line on 0300 1234 999.
