Around 50 workers at the Jaguar car plant in Birmingham were evacuated after fire ripped through part of the building.

Six fire crews tackled the blaze in Chester Road, Castle Bromwich, which broke out shortly after 4.10pm yesterday

Crews from Highgate, Erdington, Sheldon, Ward End, Aston and Handsworth all attended the scene.

The fire, which took place between a brick wall and metal cladding, was extinguished shortly before 8pm.
