A lorry driver arrested in connection with the death of a suspected robber has been released without charge.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has dropped the murder case against 41-year-old Vasilius Nikolakopoulos, believed to be from Greece, citing "insufficient evidence".

He was arrested after a man died on February 26 following an attempted robbery involving Mr Nikolakopoulos' lorry in Coleshill, Warwickshire.

Dean Skidmore, aged 36, from Brierley Hill, believed to have been living in West Bromwich, died after suffering a stab wound.

Lee Spencer Howell, aged 34, of Bassett Road, Wednesbury, and a 15-year-old boy who cannot be named appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday after being charged with conspiracy to rob the driver. They have both been bailed.
