A 13-strong syndicate of work colleagues from the Travel West Midlands bus depot in West Bromwich's Oak Lane are celebrating after matching five numbers plus the bonus ball to win £105,909.

The group had only been playing for 13 months and it was syndicate leader Harpreet Singh, that suggested they start to play the Wednesday draw.

The winning ticket in last Wednesday's Lotto draw was bought at Dhesi mini market in Lodge Lane, West Bromwich, and the winning numbers were 3, 21, 25, 32, 37, 46 and the bonus ball of 15. Now each member is £8,146.85 richer.

Mr Singh, who has worked as a traffic controller at the West Brom depot for six years, said: "I initially thought we had five numbers but I counted again and realised it was five plus the bonus ball."

Dave McCall, manager at the garage, said: "The atmosphere has been amazing."
