An historic park lodge donated to the people of Smethwick by the Chance brothers has been demolished.
The West Smethwick Park Lodge was razed to the ground today having been left to fall into rack and ruin.
The former grand home of the park keeper, the building was dedicated to the people of Smethwick in 1926 by Chance Brothers who were one of the town's largest employers and world famous glass manufacturers.
