The top boss of South Staffordshire Council is to step down from his role.
Chief executive Rolf Levesley is retiring in June after 27 years of service. He joined the council as its solicitor in 1981 and was made chief executive in 2004.
Mr Levesley, 59, said: "I feel I am leaving the council in a good condition. I have very much enjoyed my time at the council, largely due to the excellent group of colleagues, both members and officers, who I have had the pleasure of working with."
Council leader Brian Edwards said today: "Rolf is highly respected and has been a committed chief executive whose hard work and dedication to the district has been exemplary."
