A police crackdown on boy racers is being launched across the Wyre Forest district, with repeat offenders warned their vehicles could be seized.
Tackling boy racers has also become a major cause for concern raised at several public meetings between residents, police and councillors.
Officers are determined to crackdown on those causing a nuisance and dangers for others.
Complaints have been received about young drivers racing along the busy A449 between Hartlebury and Worcester, at Wilden, Stourport, and in Bewdley town centre.
Lynne Masters, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "Boy racers have been an issue in various locations. There have previously been problems in Bewdley and at Wilden, Stourport.
"Now details of drivers, together with vehicle details and registration numbers are being placed on a database and letters sent to the registered keepers reminding them they risked having their vehicle seized if it continues to come to police attention."
If vehicles or drivers are stopped a second time for similar anti-social behaviour within 12 months, their vehicle can be seized by police.
