A man was killed in Bearwood, early yesterday morning.
The crash happened at the junction of City Road and Portland Road, Bearwood, at around 5.30am and involved two cars, a Lexus LS400 and a Nissan Almera.
The driver of the Nissan, a 77-year-old man from Birmingham, died in the collision.
Anyone witnesses are asked to ring 0845 113 5000 and ask to speak to the Road Policing Unit.
A 20-year-old Cannock woman has also died after a crash that left three others in hospital. The accident happened at around 9.32pm yesterday when the silver Mini Cooper they were travelling in left the A34 Newcastle Road near Little Moreton Hall at Congleton in Cheshire.
The other occupants, two 19-year-old men from Cannock and a 21-year-old man from Stoke, are said to be in a comfortable condition.
A driver from Lichfield was killed after his car went off a dual carriageway near Burton upon Trent. The accident happened on the A38 southbound.
A man from Solihull also died after a smash at 5.06am yesterday. One vehicle, a Skoda Fabia, was in collision with a street sign and then overturned.
