Families today voiced new fears over a parking nightmare blamed on football fans going to Kidderminster Harriers' ground.

They have already complained that drivers parking indiscriminately have been blocking driveways and creating a nuisance for people living along Aggborough Crescent, which is signed as an access only route.

Further problems are also caused on Oldnall Road, also an access only road.

Residents today said paramedics or fire crews would be unable to reach the scene in an emergency.

Mrs Enid Gadsby, aged 61, said: "It is a worry because people park across the driveways or don't leave enough room for local people to get their cars out.

"It has led to all sorts of problems and people feel very aggrieved. If there was ever something major like a fire, the police, fire or ambulance would not be able to get there."

Local Policing Officer PC Phil Green today said officers would be monitoring the situation near Aggborough stadium for the home matches on December 26 and January 17.

Public address announcements are also to be made before the kick-off to remind supporters of the need to park with consideration for people living close to the ground.
