A man died and three other people were injured in a motorway pile-up in Staffordshire.
The crash happened on the southbound carriageway of the M6 toll road between T5 and T6 near Chasetown and Cannock yesterday afternoon at about 12.30pm.
Three cars and a van were involved in the smash which killed one of the drivers who died at the scene.
A family-of-three was also taken to hospital along with the van driver and the female driver of the third car. E SF
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "The driver of one car, a man, suffered serious multiple injuries and despite the best efforts of ambulance crews nothing could be done to save him."
